Mark Hentze presents at IAKS sports design conference
Mark Hentze, CEI partner and director of recreation and leisure development, will be speaking at the 22nd International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) Congress in Cologne, Germany from October 26 to 28.
Mark will make a presentation with David Edmunds of GEC Architecture on the lessons learned at the Hockey Canada Athletic and Ice Complex in Calgary, Alberta. The project was recently called “probably the best hockey facility in the world” by a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
The annual IAKS Congress brings together leading architects, planners and institutional leaders from the sports and recreation fields to discuss global trends, technical topics and best practices.
Patrons of this year’s event include International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, IPC President Sir Philip Craven, Sportaccord President Hein Verbruggen and Germany’s Minister of the Interior Dr. Hans-Peter Friedrich.
