Congratulations, Robert Cesnik!
CEI is pleased to announce our newest Associate, Robert Cesnik. Robert joined CEI’s Kelowna office in August 2010 with the acquisition of Bevanda Architecture. As a project architect at CEI, he has recently worked on the Lefebvre-Smyth Residence, Terravista Vineyards and Black Hills Wine Experience Centre.
As a child, Robert remembers watching his father designing and building their family homes, which influenced his decision to pursue architecture. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Architecture at UBC. After living in Vancouver for over ten years, Robert and his wife Jillian decided to move back to the Okanagan to raise their two children and be closer to family.
Robert’s passion for design led him to participate in the NAIOP Office Building of the Future competition. CEI proposed a 40-storey wood hybrid office tower design, which received Honourable Mention in the North American competition.
Outside of the office Robert enjoys working on his newly constructed home and spending time with his wife and two children.
Robert is proud of his Okanagan roots. He says, “I was raised in the Okanagan, and have had the good fortune of returning as a practicing professional.” Robert is looking forward to this new role as it will give him the opportunity to become more involved in the community.
