Nick Bevanda

Working from the Kelowna studio, Nick brings a wide variety of experience both within the public and private sectors. Several of Nick’s projects have been recognized for excellence in design, including the Black Hills Estate Winery, winner of the Lieutenant-Governor of BC Award of Merit in 2008, and the Elenko Residence, honoured by the Design Exchange Awards in 2010.

As a trained facilitator and member of the National Charrette Institute, Richard specializes in leading CEI’s design charrettes and public consultation efforts. He is a founding partner of CEI, and applies his collaborative and inclusive approach to design across all sectors of the practice.

Mark heads CEI’s recreation, culture and community sector, leading significant public projects throughout Canada. Mark is a former professional hockey player who brings his passion for sports and community recreation to his work, from the design charrette to design concepts. He is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and events around the world.
Bill Locking

For over 30 years Bill has been leading the design of hospitals, cancer centres, labs and research facilities across Canada. As a founding partner of CEI, he has developed the firm’s specialized healthcare design practice to be one of the most significant in Canada. In recognition of his career achievements, Bill was named to the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s College of Fellows in 2009.
Tim McLennan

Tim leads projects of all types, with a focus on office, commercial, industrial and institutional typologies. As Director of Operations for our Kelowna studio he oversees the firm’s work in the Interior of B.C. As the project partner on the Okanagan College Centre of Excellence, he has led the progress of one the most energy efficient buildings in the world.
John Scott

Senior Partner, Vancouver
A founding partner at CEI, John leads our transportation sector, including airport facilities planning and design activity. He also co-directs our infrastructure and real estate sectors, including office, industrial, residential and retail projects for both private and public clientele. Directing projects in both Western Canada and the U.S., John continues to expand his reputation as a skilled planning and design authority.
Rod Windjack

Partner, Victoria
Rod is one of Canada’s leading designers of K-12 educational projects. He has also been involved in most of the work produced by our Victoria studio over the last fifteen years. Rod brings a passion for education to his work, ensuring that the students of today are prepared for the world of tomorrow.

Conrad is an internationally recognized specialist in the design of spectator venues, entertainment centres and recreation facilities. He is Canada’s National Member on the International Union of Architects’ Sports and Leisure Group, and has extensive experience in the public consultation process, particularly as it pertains to community-based programming and design.

Heidi leads CEI’s interior design team, using her depth of knowledge in commercial design to spearhead programming, planning and detailing across a variety of project types. Her expertise ranges from the design of commercial and corporate offices to healthcare facilities, cultural buildings and retail shops.

Michael leads CEI’s post-secondary projects, and has also led the design of many recreation, healthcare and cultural facilities. With over 20 years experience, Michael’s innovative, forward-thinking approach to post-secondary design—based on an inclusive, student-centred philosophy—results in spaces that meet the unique needs of their campus today and for the next generation of students.
